Concept 
The workshop is making the pattern of “kumiko” which is traditional arts and crafts in Kanuma. It is a purpose to make a chance to know the traditional arts and crafts “kumiko” for people who are living in Tokyo especially children. ”Kumiko” is the woodworking technique in which the design is being incorporated without using a nail and a knife. At the beginning, crafts man showed a demonstration and told the history of Kumiko in Kanuma. After that start to make the pattern of “kumiko”. And I held the exhibition to introduce the other product made of wood in Kanuma at the same time in a showroom.

* Participation by a parent and child is OK.

Materials
Japanese cypress (each parts are already cut by crafts man)
