Chapter 03. Event Design
I designed 2 events for 2050 OUR FUTURE STORY. The first event is held on March 26th 2022 which is the day of Earth Hour. The second event is held on September 18th 2022 during the week of United Nation's conference.
Initial Ideas
Focused event in an indoor / outdoor setting which encourages people to go. Enjoyable event but also introduces chance to take an action.​​​​​​​

EVENT 01 : STORY IN THE DARK

Event Content
Outdoor projection mapping art exhibitions : Each park set up projection mapping installations. It displays predicted rise in sea level by projecting images of water coming into the city. Between 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm, lights are turned off to start candle light art to appreciate Earth Hour. There are tents selling Healing Us and Earth kit to visitors.

Healing Us and Earth Kits
The Healing Us and Earth kit contains local tea bags, used bin with local candle and activity sheets in the recycled cotton bag. Purpose of the kit is to encourage visitors to turn off electricity lights and think about our future in a cozy atmosphere during the Earth Hour. Share the moment and story with your loved ones and start to take action to save our earth. Included candle and tea produce relaxing mood and heal your tired body. The activity sheets and tea bag tags will guide you through the process of understanding about our shared future.​​​​​​​

UN Conference Week Event (Outdoor Movie and Plant-based Food Truck)

Event Content
This event shows a climate change documentary movie for free at NYC parks. Also invite food trucks which is serving plant based foods. It is make a chance to know there are many different plant based foods are existing and enjoyable. 5% of foods are donation to documentary movie production. All food packages are non-plastic. End of the movie, distribute the 356 think and action calendar to those who need it for free.
Reuse / Recycle
T-shirts for support staff, cotton bags for kits, bins for candle, calendar and paper bags are made by used material. Collect used T-shirts and cotton bags print the event logo directly on them by screen printing. The calendar is printed a back side of movie poster.Used different brand paper bags and bins are put the paper sticker on the surface.
