CONCEPT
I interviewed the owner of the shop and decided to include the name of the shop, as well as our neighborhood, Sunset Park. From there, I was challenged to visualize the image of the store. I designed a background that combines billiard balls, the number 8, and the name of the shop using large circles. Despite its simple design, the careful balance between figure and ground activates both positive and negative space simultaneously, creating a dynamic and eye-catching design on the shutter visible when the shop is closed.
