CONCEPT
RESOBOX is a hub for Japanese culture and a place for people from various fields to interact, located in New York’s East Village. The artists who gather at RESOBOX each bring their unique sensibilities, blending and creating new works that play a significant role in preserving and even advancing Japanese culture. I drew inspiration from this business concept. The patterns within the square represent the individuality of various people. To match the tasteful bricks of the East Village, I chose a subdued impression with grayscale colors. The overlapping parts of the colors are made darker to express resonance.
