WHAT IS TRUCKS OF ART?
Trucks of art is a unique art project that challenged artists to beautify five 20-ton collection vehicles with hand-painted designs. The selected artists used their nearly 400 square feet of "canvas" to highlight cleanliness, sustainability, and New York’s Strongest, the 7,500 uniformed men and women who keep New York City clean, safe and healthy.

CONCEPT
The overall theme is empathy to action. The aim is to create less waste and encourage people to compost more. Pink side encourages people to make a connection that “Less garbage, More smile”. This will hopefully lead to more actions to reduce unnecessary garbage. Green side shows a person smelling a flower. The message reads, "Start composting. Grow flowers". I made a design that invites you to take positive action of composting.
