WHAT IS "Farm and welfare collaboration" (農福連携) ?
"Farm and welfare collaboration" is an initiative that aims to enable people with disabilities to participate in society with confidence and a sense of purpose through their active involvement in the agricultural sector. The efforts of this initiative not only create opportunities for people with disabilities to work and find meaning but also help secure new labor in the agricultural sector, which is facing a decline in the number of workers due to aging.

PROJECT
This is a project that aims to reduce food loss by providing non-standard agricultural products that cannot be sold in the market from farmers and creating attractive processed products at welfare facilities for sale. NPOs, administrative agencies, and universities have repeatedly held meetings to commercialize the project.
The "yakiimo kenpi" is baked in an oven, and finished to have a soft texture when put in the mouth, making it easy to eat for the elderly and children. The "NPO Ineiburu" has commercialized it, and it is sold at the "Community Cafe Tobira" operated in the same Ryuno-cho city. They use sweet potatoes grown in the reclaimed land at the mouth of the Ibo River in Gotu-cho, Tatsuno City.

DESIGN CONCEPT
The design concept is whether it is a baked sweet potato or a sweet potato kenpi. The theme was to be able to capture both. Baked sweet potatoes that are usually sold from trucks are wrapped in newspapers. We combined this with an eye-catching pop image. The package, which looks colorful at first glance, is designed to look like a newspaper when viewed carefully.
